the working principle and components of infrared night vision cameras
The infrared night vision camera has advanced low-light detection technology and high sensitivity in the infrared band. It can be widely used in night low-light imaging, day and night surveillance and reconnaissance, star tracking, laser detection, gunsight, personal night vision, and other applications. The following will take everyone to understand the working principles and components of the following infrared night vision cameras.

Working principle

Infrared night vision cameras are mainly used in a dark environment with no visible light or low light, using an infrared emitting device to actively project infrared light onto an object, and the infrared light enters the lens for imaging after being reflected by the object. At this time, what we see is the picture made by the reflection of infrared light, not the picture made by the reflection of visible light. At this time, we can take pictures that are invisible to the naked eye in a dark environment.

Light is an electromagnetic wave, and its wavelength range is from a few nm to about 1 mm. What the human eye can see is only part of it. We call it visible light. The wavelength range of visible light is 380nm~780nm.

Usually, people divide infrared light into three parts: near, middle, and far-infrared. Near-infrared refers to a wavelength of 0.75 to 3.0 μm; mid-infrared refers to a wavelength of 3.0 to 20 μm; far-infrared refers to a wavelength of 20 to 1000 μm. Since infrared light is non-visible light, the naked eye cannot see its existence in actual space, so infrared night vision cameras have become infrared light catchers in the dark.

Main components

1. Infrared light board

After power is on, the current is transmitted to the infrared wick that can convert electrical energy into light energy and heat through the PCB circuit board, and the infrared light is emitted by the infrared lamp and projected onto the object.

2. Lens

Collect the infrared light reflected by the infrared lamp projected on the object, and send it to the photosensitive component (CCD/CMOS) of the camera mainboard after focusing on processing and imaging.

3. Camera motherboard

The photosensitive components (CCD/CMOS) convert the received infrared light imaging from light into current signals, which are transmitted to various working IC electronic components for processing via the PCB circuit board, and finally converted into video signal output by the micro-processing chip (DSP).

4. Camera shell

Fix the combination of the above components to protect the above components to achieve the effects of waterproof, dustproof, and anti-shock. At the same time make the whole product more beautiful.
